This is a poster celebrating his legendary April 1972 performance at the Yad Eliahu Sports Palace in Jerusalem. In the middle of the concert he was so nervous & disturbed by the audience that he walked off the stage, went to his dressing room, took a dose of LSD, had a shave and walked back out to thunderous applause finishing the set. Cohen was a practicing Jew who kept the sabbath. Perhaps performing in this ancient homeland brought on a serious case of nerves. This was also a very troubled time for the singer/poet as well.
