• Image of "MARY HARTMAN, MARY HARTMAN" - 1978

Everyone I knew in NYC was addicted to “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” in the late '70s. It was created by the amazing Norman Lear & starred the equally amazing Louise Lasser (Woody Allens First Wife!). It truly seemed to capture the zeitgeist of that time. I portrayed Mary as an icon painting. She was centrally portrayed as the patron saint of the homemaker surrounded by her acolytes. Her halo is 100% yellow waxy buildup. Time to go to the International House of Pancakes, everyone!
